I have been coming to Puglioni’s since 2011 and didn’t get an chance to go for the past year until yesterday. I was really disappointed because the food and atmosphere changed. The music wasn’t Italian anymore, it was pop music. The servers weren’t as formal (in all black clothes) but rather in jeans. The “loaf” isn’t included anymore with the meal unless you order it for $1. And when that came out, the bread was hard, stale, not hot, and the flavor wasn’t there. Went here for the first time on Monday because I was hoping to try an Italian place in Morgantown that was decent. I never heard anything about it good or bad so we decided to try it out . Honestly the food wasn't horrible or cold but the service was subpar and it wasn't anything special . The ambience inside was bleak and dark and the waitress wasn't very personable . Literally my favorite place to eat in all of Morgantown. The food is amazing, the service is always friendly, and the portions are HUGE!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about this place.
Decided to try this based on reviews. Food was amazing and the portion size was huge. The pesto vinaigrette and pine nut vinaigrette dressings 😍.
After this place was recommended, we tried last weekend, let's just say we were all disappointed in our main meal. First it took forever for someone to even get our drink order. The salad was not what I would expect. Ordered two appetizers, although they were good ....as much as you pay I think more than probably 8 little pieces of fried mushrooms was very pricey. It took us almost an hour to get our food. They said they had a mixup on a calzone and they were sorry. So I’m guessing my Alfredo just sat while they remade the calzone? The Alfredo tasted like old gravy. Clumped and gummy. It was the worst Alfredo I’ve ever eaten. They also gave me the wrong noodles, which isn’t a big deal. After being there for almost two hours they offered to take our $7 appetizer off the bill. It was my first time eating there and I will not go back. Very disappointed.
Add a Loaf was ordinary. The tomato soup was overly thickened with starch. The lasagna tasted like it had been frozen and the sauce was too sweet.
Burned appetizers and sent back...came out the same. Had to ask several times for items. Quality of food was so-so.
