This is probably the worst place you could possibly go if you need help with anything. I left with none of the questions about my medication answered. The only reason I went here was because it was in network with my insurance. They put the visit under some weird diagnostics code so my insurance won’t cover it now. My insurance said the visit would be covered if it was literally any other code for a normal visit but they refuse to change it and I’m expected to pay out of pocket. I had mention to them I got in a motorcycle accident with no insurance and I had to cancel my appointment because I got a bunch of medical bills and was unconscious for 15 minutes. I got insurance now and they said I need to make an appointment which I did and they wrote on my medication refill to find a new psychiatrist. I’ve been with avenue psychiatry for a long time and after DR. Hsu left, this place turned into a mess. He was actually one of the good ones and had an understanding of my situation. Dr.Foote was very attentive and friendly. However, the front desk could improve their customer service skills. I asked if there was a way I could get a link emailed to me instead of texted. It's easier to fill out the questionnaire they send me on a computer and the check in forms are usually emailed and texted. They replied well it's an automated system.
