Super food but bad deal…in our case First of all - the food we ate, was convincing in quality and taste. The latter being even exceptionally good. BUT the “bang for the buck” was far below expectations. Stay away from the “fiesta table” (70.- $!!!) dish, for this will not really be a fiesta. We expected a potpourri of different starters and main courses… Instead we were disappointed with (per person): one oyster one shrimp (with salad) one cup of pea soup. After this we were served (for the whole table) one wooden board with (per person): one tiny chicken skewer a small portion of pork belly on rice/corn mash a small portion of beef brisket. Finally for desert we had (again per person) one small ball of ice cream with banana fluff. As I said initially - everything was tasty but for the money we spent on that table, we could have ordered several starters and main courses to feast like crazy instead of this disappointing “non-fiesta table”. The management was polite and friendly, when asking for the reason for our clearly expressed dissatisfaction. However, we recommend to change the menu in order to prevent further people from such disappointed like ours. One last word on the location…we dined outdoors in a rather nice ambience with tropical music and seated on comfortable chairs. That was convincing…the dish we ordered not so much unfortunately.

Wonderful Surprise in The Mission A Fabulous Surprise right here in San Francisco. Brunch with friends at a Guamanian restaurant... who knew? What drew us in was a big friendly colourful patio. What kept us there was super friendly staff, most excellent unusual food. We had a variety of small plates, recommended by the lovely Sean, owner and maitre d'. Eggplant BBQ marinated in coconut milk. halibut marinated in lime juice and more... 'ceviche' style. 'Tacos' with chicken ..oh so flavorful. Super light bread, brioche type...this was to calm down our mouths after the too hot chilies! (The only mistake). Mushroom sort of empanada. And then dessert... Yummy Icecream and banana fritters or donuts with coconut whipped cream.. totally decadent. Of the three of us I had been to Guam in another life and honestly there was never food like that available to tourists..But we are assured that this is very typical to the island cuisine. What was lovely was that Sean was really interested to hear about my experiences in the Sixties in Guam and also gave us with pride a lot of the history of his beautiful island. Give it a visit, you will be in for a delightful treat.

Such a unique experience... and I say that in a good way... the food is flavorful yet distinct. Great addition to the SF food scene

Consistently good with enthusiastic service Nothing we ordered disappointed. It is hard to describe the dishes, though; they are complex but also satisfying. Busy and kind of loud, though!
