The estimated price was to be $20 for replacing a 12v battery. After the mechanic was looking at the battery in my car he said the price was going to be somewhere around the estimated price. Somehow when I came to pay the price went up to almost $60! Almost 3 times the amount originally agreed upon. How can there be a mistake that big? I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you do go make sure that you have the "maximum price" in writing before any work is done.
After taking my car to 3 different places and be given outrageous quotes with now guarantee to fix the problem, the car doctors were able to correctly diagnose and fix my car at a fraction of the price. Thank you for saving me a ton of money and being honest with me. Will recommend to all my friends.
Really deserves 10 stars! – I have used The Car Doctors in Provo off and on for several years now. A recent visit for an issue with my truck prompted this review. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY!!! – I have been going to The Provo Car Doctors for the last 2 years. I am very happy with the level of service I have received. They are fast, reaonably priced, and only do what is necessary. They will treat you the same way or better then their own family. BEST MECHANIC AROUND!!! – I have been taking my truck to Provo Car Doctors for over 3 years. It now has 256K miles on it and Nate has taken care of it for the last 150K miles. He fixes what I ask him to fis at the best rate I have found, and he points out any other problems that he hinds and lets me decide when I will have it taken care of. Top-notch service – Took a car there I was considering buying. Reasonable cost to do a pre-buy inspection. Pointed out realistic items needing immediate attention and those that could wait. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
Great Sevice – I recommend the Provo Car Doctors to everyone I know. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I have taken my car there many times for an oil change. It's refreshing to have a company who isn't always trying to up sale me something my car doesn't need. I have an older car that needs a little work, they helped me know what needs to be fixed now and what can wait instead of telling me it all has to be fix immediately. Nate the Great! – So I had a truck that we just purchased and had been neglected. with 60k miles on it I'm pretty sure that there were only basic oil changes done on it.
