We were visiting the area from out of state. We needed to take our daughter to an emergency room, so we went to the St. Joseph Emergency Room. Ultimately, the doctor did not successfully diagnose or provide a recommendation. We transferred her to the neighboring Children’s Hospital of Orange County Emergency Room where she was diagnosed. Both facilities were in-network; however, St. Joseph charged us over four times what CHOC did.
