Going to the emergency rooms is never a fun time for someone in pain, sick, injured, or however many other reasons. This morning 2/11/26 at 4:15am we arrived at St. Joe’s. My daughter had an oral surgery and there were complications. We drove from Fortuna, 3 minutes from the other hospital, because the staff in Eureka does not disappoint. Today we were greeted by Lou. Nurses try their best with short staffing and the mess of people that are from the community. Thankful that we have a hospital here but could use some work.
This was by far the best hospital experience I've ever even dreamed of. The nurses were amazing and they were so genuine and caring. I joked with my boyfriend after I delivered our daughter that we were going to have to go break a leg in order to stay longer. It was more like a five star hotel.. my mom dad boyfriend and brother all were able to be present for the birth and we still haven't been able to get over how amazing the entire visit was.
