RecommendedI spent a week in Labor and Delivery and felt cared for the whole time. I never felt like I was a burden to the nursing staff. Everyone I came in contact with was professional and kind, from housekeeping to the hospitalists.

This is an awful place for those of low or no income... Doctor Kenneth Alan Hahan yelled out in the hallway “ make ‘me wait; they’ll leave!” When I followed up with Dr. Hahn, he didn’t deny that he was in fact selectively shopping patients. It was horrify to see 4 security guards waiting to eject a man in a wheel chair out into streets, after he discussed his discontent with the Catholic affiliated hospital! HORRIBLE. I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR THREE HOURS WITH SPOTTING AND CRAMPING FOR A POSSIBLE MISCARRIAGE AND NOT ONE PERSON HAS HELPED EXCEPT DRAW MY BLOOD.
If you are thinking of going to this hospital for mental health related issues, don't. I know Portland has very limited places you can go to, basically all of Oregon does, but this was just such a bummer from start to finish. $1,900 to sit in a room alone with 100% literally no help. I have severe depression, anxiety, and bpd2 and was feeling very unstable and unsafe so I went to the ER at Providence because it seemed like the best bet for a safe night. this place doesn't care about the family's. I went in with my wife yesterday for a surgery for her. I sat in the prep room with her until they took her out for the surgery. but no one ever told me where to go or what to do while I wait. after 45min a nurse came in to clean and was shocked that I was still there. told me I couldn't be in here anymore. I left and went to the front desk to find out where to wait/go. she tells me my wife is not going to be ready until tomorrow (we were told this was going to be an out paciant pr... read more
