My original doctor moved, so I searched for another doctor who accepted my insurance and would prescribe my medications, and that's how I met Dr. Byrnes and he said at the beginning he didn't mind and would take me as a patient. Next month he completely changed, he stopped prescribing medications I had been on for years, he would schedule me three months out when we'd have a disagreement. My PCP sent my referral incorrectly back in March and I had to call to follow up two months later only to get an apology and rescheduled for the end of June. I now just find out via their email system that they have to reschedule my appointment again. This exacerbates the problems people are already going through.
Terrible if you’re looking for consistent care. If your doctor leaves they make you go through the whole new patient process and everything all over again even if you miss your medication.
I went to the ER seeking help after a suicide attempt. I was treated like dirt from the moment I got there. My ER doctor laughed in my face (I'm a trauma survivor. It was worse that they were touching me, doing something that was supposed to be caring for me when they did this) they laughed saying "well, with everything you took, at least we know your not feeling any pain!!!
