someone needs to GET L A I D. – On February 21, 2009 at 6 pm, my family and i attempted to visit provecho. Granted we have visited several times before, and the food is delicious, the service is the absolute WORST service we have ever encountered. and my aunt is kind of old! we entered the restaurant (5 of us) and a group of 6 entered after us. they told us it would be a 20 min wait, and there was a big table gettting ready to leave. Great food, great service! – We stumbled upon this place on an evening walk through Uptown Village. The place is small, and the menu it not broad (at least by chain "Mexican" standards), but the food was fresh, healthy and wonderfully prepared. The service was prompt, friendly and extremely helpful. I will definitely go back!

Great, but not "authentic"... – Is the food good? Yes. Are the prices good, especially for downtown Vancouver? Absolutely. Was the service prompt and friendly? Very. Is the food "authentic" Mexican food? I say not, but that really depends on how we want to define authentic. Are we talking about Northern Mexico, Southern Mexico, or possibly New Mexico? Horrible service experience – On March 7 about 6:45, we were told that it would be a 20 minute wait for a table for 4, we were willing to sit at 2 tables available for 2, but the owner insisted we had to wait for a table for 4.....and wait outside! When my husband went in to use the restroom, a table had left and he motioned us to come inside but the owner again insisted we had to wait outside until she cleared the table. Yummy Mexican food – Each time I go I get the Mexican tabouli salad (mainly cause it's the only vegan item on menu). It's really yummy. I sometimes get the chips and salsa, which is homemade on site. And the chips are made fresh daily. I've taken my mom and she has enjoyed her dinner. I've always had great service.

Best Mexican Food Around – This place is the freshest, best Mexican food I've had. The menu is simple, but reliably good. The wait staff is friendly and the ambiance is calming. The space is small, but cozy. Give it a try!

The UN really should visit Provecho for human rights abuses – The food is good and it looks clean; however, going to this restaurant is not worth the trouble. The wait staff and the owner are all very rude. They have all kinds of little stupid rules and will snap at you if you "break" one of their many unwritten rules. I was dining with a friend and he was folding the paper menu. The owner snapped at him for it. Vancouver is a small town with few dining out choices. Simply great mexican food – On two visits have been served excellent, super fresh mexican fare. Very healthful as well, no grease here. Limited menu....no enchiladas or rice. Both would be good additions. Small area inside and on a nice day there is a patio that lends a great place to eat. Hopefully they will be able to expand soon and get more seating inside.
