I've been to Provecho many times, their food is wonderful, service up until last visit was just ok, but I could ignore that. I was brought up with manners being a huge thing in my household, so in general I try for grace, but this last Friday we stopped in for a going away lunch for a coworker and were treated so badly, I told the waitress "you could be a little nicer" apparently those were the wrong words as her rudeness increased leaving me with no choice but to gather my stunned party and leave. I love this place – The food at Provecho is wonderful, fresh and healthfully prepared. The menu is limited but the selections available are all delicious. The specials are just that special and I look forward to hearing about them, every time. In the winter I like the soups they make which are the best. I often get a Margarita, which is made from fresh squeezed limes when you order. Sometimes we just get chips, salsa guacamole, and a Margarita but it’s hard not to order a full dinner.
Wondeful Food - Woman Server is AWFUL! – First, the guacamole is REALLY good and the chips are hot, salty, and delicious. I highly recommend ordering them to-go. Unfortunately, there is an women (I assume she's the owner) and she is awful. This place would be wonderful if she wasn't there. Best Food Ever!! – I have been eating food for over 51 years and I can honestly say Provecho has the best food I have ever eaten. Everything is made fresh while you wait so it may take a little longer to get your food if they are busy but it is worth the wait. Have some of their outstanding chips and salsa. I know you have to pay extra but you won't find better. If you want free chips, go to Chevys and stop your bitching. The service can be a bit slow at the busy times but the food is worth it. Horrible Service – I've gone more than a few times now, for both lunch and dinner. Each time, I was hoping the service would improve. I'm done though. Is the tall blond woman the owner? If not, I hope the owner sees all of the bad reviews the restaurant is getting specifically about her. If the service was better, this would be my favorite restaurant in town. Bummer. :(
too good! – I loved this place from the moment i steeped foot in the first time. the owners are great and remember my name even when i haven been in for months. i love the food its so wonderful. the specials are not necessarily "discounts" but more like the flavor of the day/ week, and do not pass those up they are amazing love love love this place!
Good food yet terrible service – If u want a togo order, they charge extra and u better phone it in first otherwise you will wait for at least 30 mins for your food! The food is fantastic, just the service needs work! They don't even acknowledge you, say hi we will be right with you, nothing! I never even got thanked!!!
party of two or pss on you – Do not attempt to go to this restaurant if you have more than two people or under 21...they will NOT push tables together to accommodate...when asked if they would push tables together they refused...so we left...where upon the waitress remarked "whatever"...who cares about the "healthy, delicious food"...rather venture one block north to La Bottega...EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!
Provecho...should you bother? – Provecho has good food and a convenient location. The waitress is the absolute rudest wait person I have ever encountered. I have been in over a half dozen times and she never fails to be snarky and rude. I don't know why the owner doesn't do something about her. I'm starting to tell friends we should not patronize this establishment.
