Horrible. I write this in october. We have been trying to get a return call for an inspection to have a tank put on our land. After many calls, hours on hold, finally contacted via linked in, the regional manager. He must have lit a small fire bc a customer person called me back. A week later, inspection of where to out tank and price was give to me. They said they were 3 weeks out and wud call to schedule...nope. of course they didnt. No surprise. Called customer service 3 more times...circle of being in queue, apologies, p... read more

Our lease began with V1 propane about 2004 on a lease to own agreement. Amerigas converted that agreement to a lease forever and buy only their propane agreement which was a unilaterial move that I did not approve of but trying to not make life to hard for myself so have continued with them. Now things have changed. I have placed numerous calls for propane and am placed in interminable hold. Have sent emails to Amerigas customer support and UGI corporate address. I have called out to anybody from Jackson, WY to King of Pruss... read more

After finally having the money to purchase our own propane tank (so I can get way better pricing), I contacted Amerigas to cancel our account and ask them to come pick up their tank. It is at about 15%. I have been informed that I will be charged $150 for them to pump out the tank and another $65 for something else. I will also not get credit for the 80 plus gallons that have already been paid for at $3.299/gallon. This company is robbing it's customers and I can't wait to get their cruddy tank off of my front lawn that they... read more

I give this company one star because I don't have the option to give it zero stars. If you scroll down and read the reviews, you will see that you must NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. No customer service, charge an outrageous amount of money, useless website, no ability to schedule deliveries, and on and on. HORRIBLE. I am switching to *** ****** *******. No knowing when Amerigas will come get their tank, and they are charging me $230 ($150 to pick up and $70 pump out fee for 30 gallons. Supposedly I'll get a refund for... read more

Not happy with experience relative to returning a defective grill propane tank. Today went to an Amerigas grill propane exchange machine in ****** ***** **, as instructed by Amerigas the day before to return a defective leaking tank. Arrived at the location at 10:00 am and called the number provided, chose Option 2, and waited 5 minutes on hold with no human contact before hanging up. Called back and waited 10 minutes with the same result. At 10:18 am I called the number on the machine chose Option 2 and waited 20 minutes wi... read more

I rented a house in Walker and when I took over the account from the previous tenant I was told I was buying out the amount of propane left in the tank and the tenant would be refunded for the unused propane. Fast forward to when I moved out in August 2020 and emailed them to let them know my forwarding address to send the check to for the propane refund of what the new tenant would be buying out from me and they have yet to send me a refund. This is essentially them taking double payment on the propane once when I payed for... read more

This is what Amerigas has on it's website: "From phone call to delivery, we treat you like family. We are dedicated to keeping your home and life running smoothly, so our always-on customer support is here to find the answers you need as soon as you need them." This is the reality: After moving here 3 months ago, Amerigas, who the prior owner used, NEVER contacted us to sign up with them. There was still 55 gallons in the tank so we simply used what the prior owner had purchased. Then on 9/22/20 - with NO notice, not call, n... read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE SINCE BLUE FLAME BOUGHT BY AMERIGAS. Failed to make service call scheduled early September 2020. I have never received a follow up call to reschedule. I also have spent over 1 hour on hold trying to reach their offices. Attempted to go on line to schedule delivery the system says it will send an email with a privacy code. No code has been sent.

Price gouging at its best! Over 20+ years they have consistently been $1 or more higher per gallon than surrounding competitors. They always have issues finding my account and are very difficult to work with. Normally I have to haggle to get them to match price, but they are always resistant. Also, they do not perform regular service checks on the tanks that they own, they will only service the tank after there is a problem reported. So for years my tank was leaking costing me money over the course of months, eventually the ... read more
