I'm not really happy today. I have three tanks: a 500 gallon and two 1,000 gallon tanks. On Friday I placed a delivery order on the website with specific amounts ordered for each tank. Delivery truck came today - great. As he was pulling away I looked at the delivery tickets. The tank for which I'd ordered a delivery of 450 gallons got 200. The tank for which I'd ordered 200 gallons got 415. I immediately called the local office and was told it was MY mistake and it could not be corrected. Bulltrump. I'd taken great care to ... read more

After reading many good things about our local LP provider Campbell LP out of Shallotte, NC, I decided to call on Sept the 10th to get a quote to install a underground tank and establish service for my generator and gas logs. Unfortunately, you can no longer contact the local branch, everything is routed through and automated service, with some awful annoying music. Kim, a very pleasant woman, gave me a quote and scheduled two appointments for the following week. One on Monday Sept 14th for a site evaluation, and the other f... read more

Caveat Emptor! The Amerigas site when logging on tells me I must call the local office for information on placing an order. They scheduled an inspection and fill-up, with me having to be present, on 10-9-2020. This was a no show by Amerigas. Called them on the 10-11-2020, asking what happen, Wondering if the order was still valid, and was told by Marsha, she would look into it and would call back in an hour- she never never did! If Amerigas is upset that I engineered through out the property to lower the energy footprint , a... read more

I started the process of getting service at my house 2 weeks ago. Site survey was completed and the tech told me if I called the office right away he could probably be back out that same day and deliver my tank and get me up and running. Almost a week later I can't even get a delivery scheduled. I'm told daily that someone will call me and have yet to receive a call. I call twice a day and no one can help. I have now moved in to the new home and have no heat, stove to cook with, or dryer to do laundry. Oh by the way it will ... read more

Horrible customer service...especially given that when you call them, their outgoing message says their top priority is "customer service". I've been a paying customer ever since they bought the local propane company I used. Our tanks were running very low after the long weekend and I called a week ago for a delivery and was told I would have a delivery by the end of the week. When I called on Friday, they assured me I would get propane by the end of the day. It's now Monday afternoon and I'm waiting on their latest promised... read more

I also would leave less than a one start review if it were an option. I am trying to get propane service set up for my daughter in Morgantown WV and have been at this for over a month!! They don't return calls, I mysteriously get disconnected and they never call back, and I've had 4 no show/ no calls. Even their "escalation" department (that place you get sent when nobody else seems to want to do their jobs) doesn't seem concerned one bit about the lack of professionalism and I got disconnected from them as well. Their hold ... read more

**HELP** - Amerigas will NOT remove their propane tank from my previous home, which I have already sold and settled on! The new homeowners are rightfully getting frustrated. They have been waiting two weeks now for Amerigas to remove their property (ie - propane tank) and Amerigas will not do anything. I have now spoken with Amerigas on 7 different occassions now. My phone calls to Amerigas began in mid-August (well in advance of my settlement) and up to and including today, September 10 2020. Three of those calls took place... read more

WARNING! AmeriGas charges two fees when you close an account - $69.99 for dispatch fee to collect the propane tank and $149.99 fee for pumping propane out of tank, but they will NOT REFUND for unused propane in tank. I had a full tank. This is an illegal practice!

Business response:

We provide full disclosure around all of our charges and fees as well as our business practices within our Terms and Conditions, which customers are provided before beginning service with AmeriGas. Additionally, after a review of your account I have confirmed that while you were billed our standard removal fees you were also provided with a refund for the propane remaining in the tank as a courtesy based on your experience.

I shouldn't be required to leave a star because it isn't a true showing of my review. I'm not a customer, have never been a customer, and would NEVER be a customer. This company has been harassing me for over 3 years with offers to "swtich" to AmeriGas. Key word here is "switch". How in the world this company came to the realization that I EVEN had gas in my house is beyond me. Do you know something about my house that I don't??? I built my house in 1997. The house that I own, doesn't have gas. It's 100% electric. I have tri... read more
