I am the person that only gives good reviews, but I can’t bite my tongue on this one. Our equipment was purchased and installed a year ago. We use gas for heating our water, cooking and heating the house. We have had to call the company twice to get the equipment fixed because it leaked. 10/30 they came out and did a temporary repair and we were to call them back when our gas was down to 5%. Absolutely horrible customer service. Have been trying to get through on the phone line for 2 weeks and each time i called it indicates the wait time is at least 60 minutes. Yesterday i held on the line for over an hour and a half and then was cut off.

They bought out the local company who would answer your calls fast and give good services. Now I spend a minimum of 1 hour on hold just to talk to a person. I have been trying to get my tank unlocked for the last three weeks. They said some one would call me back to make a appointment they never did, I had to call back the following week. The person I talked to did not care that I had been waiting a week already and set the appointment for the following week. Amerigas is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Ever since Amerigas bought out our local company service has declined and continues to worsen. It is impossible to find out when to expect delivery. Delivery was scheduled twice in November, never came, no notification to us and was not rescheduled. I've been trying for two weeks to get propane. Six representatives have promised to resolve situation and call back. Only one called. Tank is below 25% and we're still waiting. DO NOT USE AMERIGAS! Terrible company. They have not delivered in over 3 month and we can not get anyone to make a delivery. we are out of hot water, heat and cooking. it is thanksgiving weekend and 3 days no gas. I am so upset and frustrated at the lack of customer service and action to take care of this.

The absolute worst propane company to do business with. Amerigas loves charging bs late fees and hiding fees in the small print. They charge $185 tank rental fees per year if you dont fill up your tank. My current company charges $40 for reference. Then they love throwing around there $36 dollar late fees every month. Even when I asked them to pick up there half full tank and credit my account with the remaining propane they wait 3 MONTHS and add $108 in late fees. In my 63 years on this planet this company has the worst, non existent “customer service”. We purchased a property in Jacksonville three months ago with one of their tanks left on the property, after six phone calls to various unhelpful and rude individuals, the tank is still here. Now we have discovered it is leaking! I have given them 24 hours to collect it or we are calling 911. Go anywhere but Amerigas. Worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

I agree with the MANY MANY reviews already here but have one more thing to add. AmeriGas closed my account with them without authorization and didn't notify me. When I tried to order a gas delivery they stated that my account was closed. When I tried to reopen, I had nothing but problems. After spending HOURS on the phone with multiple people over several days, I switched to the local propane company in my area. This company installed their tank and removed the Amerigas tank.
