Charged me 95 dollars for a pick up and tow 2 miles. Excessive. I will never use them again
cant be more honest about this group of OUTLAWS. Pretty much ALL of them come with a criminal back-ground. Lets take a look at ALBERT. He currently has a THEFT charge pending and is a known alcoholic. MINGO is a known SEX-OFFENDER and so is his brother who was recently hired. Niether one of these 3 guys has a wrecker license nor can they get one. Albert has been denied twice by the city. Very shady.They towed my scooter today even though it wasnt parking in a parking spot. When I explained that I wasnt even in a parking spot he told me that he would tow a bicycle.They must have towed my scooter immediately after I cross the street because I was only gone 15 minutes. All I did was walk across the street and drop off some paperwork. They conduct insurance scams and extort money if you dont comply. Rude, threatening, and want to run up high storage charges. Pleasant when cop is on scene, when leaving, they want \$150+ or the car in their lot to charge Ins. Co. Scary Guy, Albert, is very menacing. Trying to work thru PD now to resolve it. They are aware of his history.

FACT - Poaching is wrong.FACT- They took pictures of you leaving your vehicle you should take pictures of them as well...FACT- The Austin police know about these crooks. THE STREET TOY JOYS IS ON ( 29th ) IS A HOTSPOT FOR THEM WATCH AS THEY CIRCLE AROUND THE BLOCK WITH 4 OR 5 FLATBEDS...
Worse service......pick up Mariscos Tampico customer car even with a parking permit visible in the windshield........!!!!!!!!!!
I too was towed from the W 29th strip mall lot. Luckily I caught the driver while he was still there strapping down my car to the bed. Charged me \$50 to unload the car there, which seemed reasonable I guess. Yeah, it sucks, but the wrecker driver was polite and waited for me to go get cash from an ATM a few stores down. Could have been a lot worse.These guys must make a killing. I saw 3 other Pronto trucks parked and waiting within 2 blocks of this location!
No Ethics!The strip mall at 604 W 29th has Prontos on retainer to tow cars from their lot. They have someone on salary whose job it is to sit in their parking lot and as soon as a car pulls in who they think isnt going to shop at this strip mall, they call the tow truck which is hiding around the corner to tow the car. I guess this guy has no marketable skills, work ethic, or morals...at least hes not beating up children for their lunch money...at least I didnt witness it...what he does on his time off from being a human par... read more
