PPM is terrible I have rented from PPM for several years. To summarize my experience: 1. Very low rent 2. Rather low quality apartment construction 3. Absolutely terrible landlord interactions I stuck with PPM b/c it was easy and the rent was cheap. Over time, I learned the best way to deal with them was to not interact with them; just pay my rent, keep the apartment clean so that they don't nail you on your security deposit, and don't complain. Arrogant Horrible People People in PPM are extremely arrogant. Looks like they just want to steal your money and provide no services. They are like cheaters. Before renting they are like most wonderful people. The moment you sign a lease they change colors like a chameleon. Seriously, DO NOT rent from these people. They are pain in the wrong place.
I'd rather rent from a mob Dont even think of renting from these people, not even if you are desperate.

Avoid PPM, otherwise, you will be in trouble DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE AT ALL! I would rather live on the street than dealing with these people. They do not understand business. It was always extremely difficult to communicate with them, not to mention negotiation. We had MANY MANY horrible experiences with PPM. Just put one here. The furnace was leaking gas, and they did not do anything about it until we had to hire a professional to examine the furnace. And then we reported this problem to Illinois Power. Arrogant, annoying, and illegal. Absolutely disgusting people. They treat you like crap, they break the urbana law codes then tell you "we didn't have to tell you when we would be coming" Where the urbana law plainly says they indeed do have to, as well as giving multiple options to the tenants for times to show the apartment. They ignore the law stating only 2 1 hour time zones can be sectioned off for showing during the week. We will be taking them to court soon.
Poor Poor Property Management Do not even think about renting from them rent is $50 lower than market average but don't expect to get your deposit back and that alone make it not worth it to live in a run down hardly cared for apartment they were unbelievably rude very bad service from a very bad miserable employee's I should read there reviews before I sign the lease the apartment was dirty when I got it Floor tiles coming out of the floor I had no heat for 3 weeks and finally I couldn't stay there till the end of my lease.... read more
Impossible to compromise with PPM has repeatedly been rude and unhelpful over the 2 years I have rented from them. They never return phone calls, and since there is only 1 person there who can accomplish anything it's pretty hard to actually get a hold of her. The office staff is blatantly rude and unhelpful, when I asked the receptionist for her name so I could complain she said no. They will falsely accuse you in order to eat up all your deposit I recently got my deposit check back and was charged for over $400. Here are some details: (1) I was charged almost $100 for a lamp they never gave to me (2) I was charged about $160 for a very vague general cleansing fee+$75 carpet cleansing. The thing is that when I moved in, they gave me an extreme dirty apartment.
