Mrs. Our experience with Dr. Horace Proctor at Rigsby Vet has been very positive. It is obvious that he loves animals and his job. He is very good at educating pet owners. He is very patient, compassionate and takes his time with the pet owner and is considerate about cost of care. He is easy to talk to and never in a rush. When we had to put our two beloved elderly cats, Kipes and Robin, to sleep, we could not have had a more caring vet. His office has always been clean. I highly recommend this vet.
Beware !!!! This Doctor ( Horace Luke Proctor ) has very bad bed-side manner's and very disrespectful toward any animal's, (example) of having no compassion toward your pet / animal's The place is very dirty and slowly becoming unsafe for your pet's to be there. The previous Doctor was Doctor Burcher's who once owned Rigsby Veterinary Clinic on Rigsby Ave.. A caring veterinarian! I took my cat there for what i thought was a broken leg. Instead it was a broken hip I didn't have money for surgery. The staff were very compassionate I had to put my cat to sleep. A few days later they sent me and my family a sympathy card when we needed most. I highly recommend taking animals there, because they are caring.
Not impressed - willing to pay an extra $10 for more helpful service.... I don't know about the quality of vet services, but their customer service leaves something to be desired. The lady on the phone was short with me, rude, and placed me on hold for an extended length of time after asking her for some basic prices. If that was the famous "Sara" mentioned in all of these reviews, I don't understand her popularity. Clipped Have been going to Rigsby Clinic for longer than Dr Procter has been there and have had no problems until yesterday(10-18-10). I took one of my cats to have his claws clipped. I held him and the tech did the back-no problem. Started to do the front and he got a little grumpy and p.o.'d. By the time she had finished that one she said she was going to take him to the back to finish the other. Director of animal sanctuary I have been using Dr. Proctor for over 4 years now. He is a very good vet. He never charges for unnecssary tests. Sarah is great and very helpful to me when I call. I have many dogs and have sent other pet owners there. Sheryl Proctor is one of the vets there and she is great too. I highly reccomend this clinic to others. There prices are great too.
AWESOME DOCTORS & STAFF I have been seeing Dr. Proctor for 10 years and he is the best vet in the state of Texas. I have been to other vets in San Antonio and he is by far the best one! His staff is so considerate and Sarah is the best. She is very helpful and willing to do everything she can to help the clients and their pets. Great Staff, Service, Prices, and Doctor! I have NEVER in my 5 years of going to Rigsby had a problem. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats all to which visit Dr. Proctor and his staff regularly. Dr. Proctor has spayed and neutered all of them. He has the lowest prices in San Antonio BY FAR and has never been rude or unhelpful to me, my friends and family who go there, OR anyone that I've seen in the clinic. AAAAAA+++++++++ Rigsby Vet Clinic is by far the best clinic! I have always had such wonderful service and the staff is great. Sarah is absolutely WONDERFUL and is always so nice and helpful. Everytime I have any questions or concerns, Dr. Proctor is always willing to help me and explain to me in an understanding matter.
