Not recommended When my swamp cooler water pump went bad, I purchased a new one and called TLC to install it. I am an older guy and didn't want to do this easy job myself. They told me they would come out and install for more than $100, but I said ok. It was during an extreme heat wave. The tech showed up and said after looking at my swamp cooler, he wouldn't install the pump. Knowledgeable, Courteous Service TLC came to inspect my furnace and to repair several faucets and drains. The work was done professionally, efficiently, and courteously. Over many years, I have never been disappointed in TLC's service, and this visit was no exception. The problems were fixed, and the areas in question were left cleaner than before! This is a company whose technicians are empowered to do the job right and to make customer service a priority. Thank you, TLC.

Hooray for TLC Plumbing & Utility September 7, 2013 TLC Plumbing and Utility came to my home in Albuquerque and replaced a capacitor (fancy name for a glorified battery) and my refrigeration system in our house air conditioner resumed working beautifully. TLC had the identical replacement capacitor on its truck and fixed my unit during that one visit. TLC Charged me $105.00 for its labor and $35.00 for a new capacitor plus tax. Prompt, Excellent Service When my hot water heater died unexpectedly I called TLC on a friend's recommendation after another person stood me up - twice. It was terrific to have Mike show up that afternoon on time, replace the part, and fill out a detailed bill. He could just as easily have told me I needed to replace the whole thing and I would have been clueless. I really appreciated the honesty, promptness, and thoroughness and would definitely use TLC again.

WOW Well, I am tired of dealing with the smaller plumbing companies such as the individual proprietors and decided I was going to call a larger company. I searched on-line for plumbing companies and remembered I see TLC trucks all over the place. However, after reading the reviews here I think I will pass on TLC. Not everyone can be pleased 100% of the time and there will always be unhappy customers but still...look at these reviews. Wow.

Surprise Charge I called for an appointment to have someone look at my electric panel and plumbing issues. Two appointments were required for the different issues. At the electrical appointment the tech took five minutes to look at the panel, decided it was not up to code but said it was ok to leave as is because it was safe and in good condition. I was then presented with a $100 bill for the 'inspection.' I was not aware the appointment would cost and said so to the tech. I cancelled the plumbing appointment because I don't... read more

Overcharged and left hidden damage They came out to find a leak under my slab. It took them a long time to find it. The gas they put in the lines to find it caused problems with junk blocking the valves and water hammer. They fixed the problem, but damaged another pipe that started leaking 3 years later. Needless to say, I did not call them back. The new plumber found and fixed the problem in about 1/4 of the time and for about 1/4 of the charge. I would only recommend them to an enemy. Even then, maybe not.

I Give Them No Stars I took an afternoon's vacation to meet someone from TLC named Oni (sic) at my home for an estimate. I had confirmed the appointment with him in person at their facility several days before. He never showed--and made no attempt to contact me, never offered an explanation and has never apologized. Basically TLC is staffed by a bunch of arrogant jerks who lack even the most basic understanding of common courtesy.
