We went into our first room, and there was a tiny bug crawling on the pillow. I was not sure if it was a bed bug but I called the front desk. He said they could come change the sheets but I requested a different room; if there were bed bugs in the bed, then changing the sheets would not make a difference. Very quaint 4 story building conveniently located right in south beach. The room is clean and comfortable. With the corner suite getting lots of sunlight. Very much like a studio apartment and includes a fridge, microwave and safe. Not much closet space and the shower wasn’t fully operational but still did the job. Keep in mind when checking in, there’s no traditional lobby as the “front desk” is literally in the restaurant. The roof top is a nice place to chill.
Stay away from this hotel at all costs. I tried to cancel a reservation the day of the reservation due to COVID and was told by Andrew at the front desk that he was contacting his manager, Shannon. Shannon failed to respond to my call for days. Finally, I connected to someone else at the front desk who told me since the reservation was made through Orbitz, I would have to contact Orbitz to cancel. Prime Hotel let me check in very very late after my flight was delayed in Atlanta. Luis gave exceptional service. My balcony room was perfect. The hand-written welcome note with the complimentary Evian waters was a classy touch. I plan on staying here every time I come to Miami.
