PRG withheld my security deposit for pre-existing damage that was already there when I moved in. When I dispute the charge they demanded I prove the damage existed before—even though documenting the unit's condition is their responsibility, not mine. bathtub was already glued and painted This is a classic bad-faith tactic to keep tenant deposits. Document EVERYTHING with timestamped photos/videos at move-in if you rent from them, or better yet, find a property with an ethical management company.

This management company is a repeat offender with legal action against them for security deposit handling (search: United States v. PRG Real Estate Management). After 5 years and nearly $100K in rent, they're billing me $235 for "tub resurfacing"—more than their brand new cheap plastic tub costs, despite the tub being spotless with photo evidence. Actually haven't visited and I'm sure they probably do good business I mean it's a real estate agency so by rights they are basically crooks but the only reason for the 1 star was it showed up in my recommendations and I disliked the picture of what I'm assuming is the staff. Sends a corny and unprofessional image.
