On September 22, 1937, Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op, which at that time was known as Presque Isle Electric Cooperative, set its first pole in the village of Posen, Mich. The lines built that fall were the first energized by a cooperative in the state and brought electricity to 82 farm homes just in time for Christmas. Horrible customer service. Whoever I talked to cannot find our file to have gas turned on and can't "do anything about it" until paperwork is done/redone. They got it but she refuses to look for it. I have two kids. It's been almost a month without gas on because they wanna take their sweet time and give people a runaround.

Appreciate hard working line workers!!' But it sure would be nice if PIE could use social media to update about outages and downed wires in today's media age. Quick easy way to communicate to your customers.

Thanks for little to no customer service, lack of communication and serious price gouging... And now, for being out of power for over 15hrs with absolutely no answers or an ETA on power restore. We were forced to go buy a generator this morning so our refrigerator full of food wouldn't spoil. Thank goodness we have a wood stove, cause our electrically heated home would be like an ice box. With an infant in the house, this had been the worst experience yet with losing power, and with PIE&G, we lose power A LOT.
