I very much enjoyed living at President Madison. The building is clean and well cared for. Visually, I like the character that its age gives it. The staff is very friendly and maintenance is prompt.

I’ve lived here for nearly two years and am extremely pleased with my experience. Maintenance and building staff are extremely responsive to issues, apartments themselves are well maintained, and the basement gym is small but contains everything you need (other than a stairmaster, RIP). The location is the best part, especially for someone in their 20s - walking distance to DuPont, AdMo, U street, and close to the metro.

I lived here for several years and overall had a positive experience. The management and maintenance teams were responsive. When issues arose in my apartment, maintenance typically addressed them quickly. If a repair required parts or additional time, Lauren communicated clearly, provided realistic timelines, and did a great job setting expectations throughout the process. Not a fan of this building. The good thing is that the front office staff were very responsive and helpful when you needed them. They also gave me my entire security deposit back. Unfortunately, it is very expensive to live here. My rent for a one bedroom was $2,289 plus a $150 per month “air conditioning” fee. The air conditioning fee is mandatory and you have to pay it all year.
