Best joint in Texas, hands down. Them folks know what they're doing. Be there Tuesday morning, be my third trip in a week, and I live in Corpus. Well worth tha gas money in gas.......
My family has been shopping and processing deer here for year. I shop for homemade noodles, etc for homemade chicken noodle soup. Great sausage and jerky of all flavors.

Great place, not a mad house like the beaver, clean restrooms, great grill, better prices on smoked meats, and the in house meats are far better IMO.. no catchy mascotts or t-shirts.. which is good because I would buy it just to rep Hilljes :)
Awesome place to visit. Brisket was great must come again soon.
Been coming here for years....never fails to get a good sized sandwich and be be satisfied...just ate the rueben sandwich MMMM MM
Beef brisket was very good, also smoked chicken. Bought some fresh steak, etc. But haven't had it yet.
Neat place and good food.
A great place to pull into for eating or restroom break, etc. Tends to be crowded most of the time, but maybe that's just me. They do keep the lines moving though. Many times we have used the place as a meeting area.
