We came in tonight, not certain what to expect. The food was excellent and my roast duck was cooked to a perfect medium-rare as was suggested by the chef. My wife had the best Cosmopolitan she's ever. The wait staff was also very attentive to our needs. We are moving back to Grinnell soon and hope to make regular visits to the Prairie Canary.
A very special place. Ambiance strikes a balance between somewhere far off, yet maintains the simplicity and friendly warmth of small town Iowa. Fresh, nicely prepared food. Very few eateries accomplish what Carly and her crew make seem simple.
