So, in 2021 my factory motor in my Dodge Ram 1500 died with 198,00 miles. I thought that PowerSource remanufactured motors was a reputable company. I ordered a motor from them, and it cost me $ 3,300.00 to have the motors switched at my mechanics shop in California. Well, the defective motor they sent me lasted 38k and went south. You would think the owner Stan, would say it was a defective motor, and we will cover the parts and labor. So, yes they sent a new block but only covered less than a third of the cost to switch o... read more

This is in regard to my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500. I had 198,00 miles on it when the motor went out. I thought I had found a reputable company in PowerSource to meet my new motor needs. Well, come to find out, the owner of the company is not only a liar, but he is also a corrupt businessman. On their website they state in their warranty that you get 100,000 miles or 3 years. I didn't get either! The defective motor they sent me went out 2 1/2 years later with only 38k. They did send me a new block, but would only cover 1/3 the c... read more

I bought a motor from this company in 2024. They had a warranty that stated, 100,000 miles or 3 years. 30 months later with 38k on that motor in failed. They did send me a new block but paid a third of the price to switch motors. The owner, Stan is a corrupt man. He thinks mechanics in California with their own shop, make what a fast-food worker makes in California. If you don't want to get a raw deal, purchase your motor from Powertrain motors. You will have a better experience.

I hope perspective buyers of a PowerSource motor read this review before purchasing. I purchased a motor from them and didn't even get 39k miles. Sometimes things like this happen, but a reputable company would stand by their warranty. They sent me a new block but only covered a third of the labor to switch motors. Stan, the owner thinks mechanics in California with their own shops make what a fast-food employee makes. If you don't want to have problems, use Powertrain for your new motor. Stan is a corrupt, deceitful busine... read more

Hopefully prospective buyers for a PowerSource motor will read this before they purchase. The owner Stan is a deceitful business owner. I purchased a motor from them and at 38k miles the motor went bad. Their warranty states they will cover parts and labor. They sent a new block but only paid a third of the labor to switch motors. The owner thinks that Mechanics in California make what fast food employees do. Please! look into Powertrain motors. If you have a problem with their motor, they will stand by their warranty. Powe... read more

Sorry on my review of the fraudulent Powersource, I referred to the company thief as Charlie O, when it's Stan O. He is a corrupt man. The company is corrupt.

I purchased a rebuilt motor from Powersource in Nov. of 2021. They said there was a warranty, parts and labor for 100,000 miles or 3 years. I didn't make the 3 years, and the motor blew at 38k. I live in California, yes labor prices are higher than other states. The auto repair shop I took it to was charging $ 3,600.00 to switch motors. Powersource paid $ 975.00 dollars of the bill. Charlie O and this company are corrupt frauds. Charlie is a liar and a thief. Unless you know a McDonalds worker that moonlights as a mechanic, ... read more

Per the Lewis K. review...If all else fails, read the directions: The particular part number engine purchased fits several vehicular applications. Some applications have the metal tube for the oil dipstick pressed into a hole in the engine block just above the oil pan rail. Other applications have the tube inserted into a fitting in the oil pan itself. The “press in blocking port” referred to here is actually a simple ¼” cup plug. It isn’t “missing”. It's left out intentionally for the applications that require the tube be p... read more

I purchased an engine from Powersource for a 2011 challenger, 5.7 hemi, in November of 2021. The engine was finally shipped on March 17, 2022 to Goins Automotive, (#######) , 1098 N Bardstown rd. The engine was installed in the 2011 Challenger and it spewed oil out the drivers side of the engine block, just below the head. The oil leak was from a missing internal to external 1/4" press in blocking port that was not installed. Goins Auto spent $660.00 to find and fix the problem. I called Stan at Powersource, 2230 Macintosh D... read more
