I have an older cart with a 4/12 volt battery pack. This battery pack struggled to take me the 4.5 miles to the course, play a round and return home. This was the case, even with relatively new batteries. I considered a retrofit of lithium batteries but the cost and risk of incompatibility gave me pause. Waited for a long time to buy the LightSaver Max, now I'm so happy I did. I use it to power my Ham radios when operating portable, mostly high in the mountains of Colorado. As a primary battery, it supplies 12v to my radios and keeps my smartphone charged as well. Rolling out the solar panel, extends the life of the battery and recharges it as well.
