Great chai, delicious baked goods (lots of GF yummies), welcoming atmosphere and friendly baristas. This NoPo is one of my favorite places to chill.

This review is not based on how good the food is or the ambiance. It has to with providing access to all. Instead of fixing a ramp and making it ADA approved, it was decided that it would be easier to remove the ramp. This review is not meant to hurt the business it is to let them know that people care and that people in wheelchairs want to experience the cafe as well. Thank you for listening and taking a step towards change.

Business response:

Hi Johanna- Thank you for your message. I've been working on a solution since one of our customers in a wheelchair indicated that he nearly slipped off the ramp and had to grab the handle to save himself from sliding backwards... And in his words "a new ramp is cheaper than a lawsuit." I removed the ramp because I didn't want my customer or anyone else to get injured. I never said it was too expensive. As I've shared with this same customer before, the code for an ADA accessible ramp is for every inch or rise of a step, we m... read more

Quite unfortunate to see the removal of their wheelchair ramp. The lack of a one keeps a good family friend of mine (who lives close by) unable to enjoy what used to be one of his favorite spots. Cool little place, they just need to make some small changes so everyone can enjoy.

Sadly a good friend of mine isn't able to visit Posies as their establishment isn't wheelchair accessible :( sadly no matter how wonderful a restaurant is its no longer a favorite because it's non-inclusive. Boo. Management: come on.

My daughter brings me here every time I am in Portland. I love their chai and all their baked goods. The zucchini bread is the best. My favorite coffee spot in Portland.

Maybe all these poor reviews will get you to give all people access to your business. Another wheelchair user here that is disappointed with your cafe for not being fully accessible to all. We shall see.
