We visited Port Angeles and Olympic NP for the first time this week. At 5 minutes from the park Visitor Center, this hotel was perfect. Being from the Midwest, we had never been to a Red Lion, but we loved it. They were able to switch us from our requested King to a double Queen room with no hassles to accommodate our larger group. Robert and Chris were super helpful at the front desk and gave us tips for stuff to do. It's really nice to be able to walk anywhere in the city from the hotel. We stayed here for NYE. There was a very nice party that we were able to attend. I have no complaints except for the fact that when we checked in, the heater in our room was switched to off(and must have been for days) and it was FREEZING. I was in bed, under the covers fully dressed with a scarf on watching tv. It didn't start to get warm until about 4 hours later. Using the shower was not pleasant as the floor felt like ice. For such a cold day, it would have been nice to be able to check in to our room and be nice and war... read more

Normally I try very hard to give reviews. We have been here a few times, yes the view is nice, but when I go out to eat I am hungry and the view only goes so far. I would review the food here, but each time we went here we left after our first drinks as it took so long for the server to even come back to us. And when we came in we felt like we were a bother. We had to go up to the bar to pay our bill from the table. But very nice view.
