I had a great experience purchasing a boat through POP Yachts... I'm in Michigan, the boat was in New Jersey. A bit of a leap of faith (granted, made easier since the boat was in the $15k range rather than $150k), but after negotiating what I felt was a fair price, I researched and hired a respected marine surveyor to be my eyes on the ground. Beware!!! The process started off well with the Pop Yacht rep coming out and photographing the boat and listing it. Soon after I had an individual respond to my Facebook listing and he ended up purchasing the boat. I did not get a notice of who Pop Yachts was working with until after the individual had purchased. I let Pop Yachts know and they said fine. Throughout the process, I understood that I could sell the boat to anyone who came to me through other means. Bought my boat through Pop Yachts over 3 months ago and I still don't have a title or registration in my name for it. The closing Manager Rusty K. is incapable of properly doing his job and providing the correct paperwork so I can transfer everything to my name and be able to use the boat. This man is rude, unprofessional, cocky, and inept. They did not tell me the boat had a lien until I was more than half way from Miami to Key west to pick it up. The. i had a salesman show me an RV. I said "I will take it" " tell me when you can be at a Chase Bank with the title and Keys and they will give you a certified check. You give me the title and keys and have a nice day. they said that i must wire funds to an unknown account and in about a week we would get our Motorhome. My attorney STRONGLY recommended against this. we walked away from the deal.

The crew at POP yachts is incompetent at best. DO NOT BUY A BOAT ASSOCIATED WITH POP YACHTS. As soon as you send the down payment (typically 10% of sale price) that money is gone. That is the commission to POP Yachts and you will be hard pressed to get it back for any reason. What they dont know is I got in contact with the seller halfway through the sale and brokered the entire deal myself. They deserve none of the money the collected on this sale. POP Yachts gets sellers to set the price high so that they wait and get no buyers. Then they encourage them to keep going down on their price until possibly someone they know (brokers) gets a great deal while valid buyers are kept away. I contacted POP Yachts online chats and called them and they kept saying that someone would get back to me on this particular boat. Let me start by saying I too was a bit skeptical when I was first contacted by POP Yachts. Once my rep Joe came out to take pics and video, and talk me through the process, I was much more at ease. He did a stellar job. Joe was engaged, always in communication, and I was able to leverage his knowledge.ÂÂThe closing department was amazing as well, particularly Lauren. From all communications, including the management team, I would certainly recommend POP Yachts to anyone. Rich

Pop Sells, LLC sold my 27-ft World Cat. It was a bit difficult because the boat was made in 2004 yet had been kept in spotless condition and had the latest Furuno electronics. So I was asking more than blue book. My guy Bradley explained this situation to several potential buyers in a fashion that worked and we finally found a buyer. Bradley was knowledgeable, was a former captain, and a Florida guy.. he could not have done better. I would certainly use Pop Sells LLC again and Bradley.
