What to expect if you are thinking about buying a home from this location.
Incompetent and unprofessional sales people. We have purchased this home during summer hoping this would be a forever home for my parents. We bought few new built before through New Traditional Homes & Legend Homes so this was a very familiar process. We would randomly drop by to see progress of construction then one day we realized front concrete patio and side patio had multiple cracks on them.
We have notified our concerns to Michelle (who helped us originally) at the sales office first week of Oct. instead of replacing cracked patio, they filled the cracks with gray concrete, which had cracks on them as well. Not to mention how ugly it looked on aggregated concrete.
Last Tuesday when we had our warranty walk though. We had mention heavily that we don’t want to sign anything or close unless everything is completed on the punch list but based on progress, seems like they don’t care about what buyer had to say since we are contracted to buy this home (that was emphasized multiple times).
Showed up to the office wanting to talk to someone about possibly pushing out the closing date due to work had not being done also due to not having full trust that they will get it done in timely manner which I have every right to do so since nothing was fully fixed when I mentioned over 2 months ago. I met Frank who is project manager on site. Very helpful person wanting to make things right also spoke to Tricia who wanted to talk to her supervisor regards to pushing out the closing date. Several hours had past, we finally received an email stating they will take care of concrete patio but nothing about pushing out closing date. So I called the office and spoke to Tricia on the phone. I never encounter anyone like Tricia. She was very rude, wouldn’t give me a chance to finish my sentences. Completely different person then I met earlier. Ultimately putting words in my mouth got me very aggressive with her. She stated that I said I didn’t care about buying this home or my earnest money, which I never said. Tricia kept referring to contract we signed and how we are responsible of paying $200 per day for delaying. I asked to speak to her supervisor but she refused to give me supervisor’s info stating I have to talk to her or email her first then she will relay that information. Also stated that she is busy and doesn’t have to time to discuss about our concerns. Tricia, here is my email to your supervisor, feel free to relay my concerns.
As a homebuyer, we want everything to be perfect. I understand it’s a construction and things aren’t going to be perfect. But when we address concerns to the builder we expect to be communicated and resolved especially when we have notified few months before. Instead we get communicated a day before closing and threated to be charged $200 per day for delaying closing. I am sure not every Polygon homes are this way but when you are spending 450k or plus for a home, at least take our concerns serious and not treat us like ‘unreasonable customer’ at a restaurant. I felt like this company doesn’t care for you once you sign the paper, they acted like they can do whatever they want after they know you can’t back out.
I’m writing this review because how I was treated today and how frustrated I was. Sales people are face of the company. This company can say they are the best and care for customers but I strongly don’t feel that way. Now I am forced to sign and close if I don’t want to be charged for penalty. I personally wouldn’t buy this home if I had to do it again due to my experience with sales people.
