Does no good no send messages thru patient portal as they are never answered. You have to call office the next day to get anything done.
Waste of strength, energy health to get there.
Have been with Dr Pollard since he took over patients' care from retiring Dr Mabley some 20 plus years ago and recommend him to several people who also became his patients.
Have been Dr Pollards patient for over 15 years. Like any other Doctor sometimes he hard to get in touch with but with upcoming improvements to CPC electronic/ computer systems may help improve this problem.
This is so disheartening to have to write, and as I write it I'm crying from disappointment and exhaustion. Dr Pollard has always been nothing short of fantastic, but his staff all need to be replaced. I've been calling at LEAST weekly (most weeks 2-3 times per week) for severe insomnia. This has been ongoing for a month now. I was seen and meds were started. They were ineffective, so more calls and meds ensued. They were ineffective, so my calls resumed. I called last Thursday (3/7) at noon and
long waiting hours, the most time I spent with the doctor has been about 7 minutes. To see the doctor for 7 minutes the wait time is more than two and a half hours. I have waited for about 3 hours to see the doctor, just for 5 minutes. --Pollard's office is always busy. For example, it has been more than two months that he was supposed to call United health care for Physician to Physician review for my CT scan test.- getting test and lab results are imposible since they don't care.
I am new to Augusta and found Dr. P. He's a great Doctor. A little chatty and bubbly at times but I see that as a good thing. He tells personal stories and things about his life. it is certainly preferred over a stoic doctor with no personality. its very obvious to me that he has genuine concern for his patients and seeks to treat the cause and not just the symptoms. Never felt rushed and always left feeling like all my questions were answered completely. I would recommend to everyone.
I will not ever return to this doctor! Nor encourage anyone I know it meet to see him! My husband has serious stomach issues and severe pain in his ankle. Dr. Pollard dismissed every inquiry we made and spoke to us like we were imbeciles and requested no further testing for any of the complaints we presented. My husbands blood work was never relayed to us and for his awful sinus issues and bloody noses Dr. Pollard told him to stop running. I have never felt so insulted and belittled!
