Tasty! – Great food, great prices, great staff. Sunday brunch can have you waiting a long time for a table, but other than that, it's always a good choice.
RUDE service, decent burgers – Burgers and breakfast items are pretty solid, but the service is unbelievably rude. Like airhead bitchy 20 year olds. I was horrified to catch one glaring openly at the back of my brother's head right after he asked if he could have a refill on his coke. They're such jerks, I just stopped going, even though this place is around the corner from me. Not worth it for a damn burger!
Service SUCKS! – Like previous reviewers, I couldn't get over how horrible the service was at Polkers. The food is okay, but difficult to swallow with such rude and condescending service. The servers act like they did you a favor by just showing up. I've tried to give this place several opportunities since it's in my neighborhood, but it's just not worth it anymore. You can easily get good food AND good service at Rex's across the street... after all, you're paying for both.
COME HERE TO BE IGNORED! – Since when was customer service a privilege? Boycott this customer-ignoring, service-lacking restaurant and let it be known you will wait no longer! Who runs the show here anyway? This is a burger joint, not a fancy French bistro. The only redeeming quality may be the food -- if you're lucky enough to make the cut, see a menu, and get the server's attention, that is.
Service? What Service? – I have to say that this restaurant has THE WORST service in the area. I've given Polkers multiple chances to redeem itself with no improvement in sight. If it were not for the good food I would've never even given it a second chance. The last and final time I ate there I had to get up from the table three times to ask for service. Please don't patronize this classless place!
never had bad service here – I live really close to Polkers, and I mean really close, and I can't see why there are queues outside every weekend, the young and trendy with their Starbucks/Peets/Tulleys (delete as appropriate) and the cell phones waiting for, what is after all, reasonable, but in no way outstanding food. I eat thre a lot, when there isn't a wait, I've never had bad service and a couple of the waitresses, the English ones, have been more friendly here than in other close at hand restaurants.
