We accidentally drove into here while visiting Cabrillo National Monument. We were in a big car so it was hard for us to back up out of the driveway, so we stopped at the security stand to ask if we could turn around. The guy started yelling at us about trespassing (even though we never actually entered the facility, we stopped at the security booth) and he made us back all the way down the driveway instead of letting us turn around at the booth. I had the privilege to do a tour of this facility today with my class from San Diego City College. Just want to give a big shout out to Javier who seems not only enjoys his job but is passionate about the process as well. It made for a really informative and interesting 1.5 hours. Thanks again Javier!

I worked on a project at this plant in the early 2000s. The staff was friendly and the site was very clean. It was interesting seeing the different components of a wastewater treatment plant. I recently did a hike up to the main gate and the plant great educational signage showing what the plant is doing and how discharged the waste 4 miles out to sea. The City is good at keeping the ocean clean thanks to all the EPA laws that require a high level of waste water cleaning.
