My mortgage was transferred to PNC bank. They added over $8K to my balance. I've contacted them by phone and email on multiple occasions over the last 30+ days and provided them with documentation to show the correct balance. They still have not corrected their mistake. The customer service reps, i spoke to basically tell lies to get me off the phone. Saying that it will be corrected in the next few days and someone will contact me to let me know status, etc. They are horrendous. Terrible service.
Prior to the transition of BBVA to PNC I was proactive trying to determine what I could expect after the transition. Since the transition, my experience every time I speak with PNC has been horrendous!! I have gotten conflicting information and rarely anything definitive regarding my account. I have spent an exorbitant amount of time trying to learn details that I think should have a very simple answer. Maneuvering their website and the phone app is confusing and again, nobody is able to give information or able to assist in... read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. We were BBVA customers and ever since the buyout by PNC, we have had nothing but trouble.First and foremost, the weekend of the changeover, our money was basically held hostage by the bank. Our BBVA cards were deactivated and our PNC cards were not activated yet. My husband went into the branch to withdraw our money and close our accounts, but had to leave after waiting for an hour because there were SO MANY other angry customers. We finally withdrew our money and attempted to close the acc... read more
Nope. We got merged with PNC after they acquired BBVA. I got more overdraft notices in 1 month with PNC that I did for over a year with BBVA. The 5 times I called to try to fix the issues, I was hung up on, insulted about my learning disability, and told maybe I wasn't smart enough to understand banking. They also did not say what policies had changed from BBVA to PNC. Finding this information was a hassle, and PNC ******* was no help at all. We estimate we have lost 300 dollars because PNC would not adequately explain their... read more
This bank literally will rob you! charge you fees for no reason! my account has money deposited into it every week and every week I'm negative I don't understand how! when I call to speak with someone they always give you the runaround. I wish BBVA would've stayed separate from this Bank. I went to sleep with ***** in my checking account woke up to negative ****** with no explanation but your account is overdrawn, and do I want them to take money from my savings to cover it. So you take my ***** and then you want me to play ... read more
This is the worst bank I have dealt with in the last 21 years. They just took over BBVA and have botched up the whole take over process. I can not get my data from my accounts. The branch knows nothing about the processes of PNC. Yesterday the manager at my back said, go open account with another bank. If I could give them any lower ratings, I could. Do not deal with this bank at all.
The transition from BBVA to PNC is a nightmare. I have not had access to one of my business accounts since the transition over a month ago. Repeated visits to the branch where nice people are doing their best with no support plus no help from Help Line are making me weary, frustrated and finally angry. Maybe these BBB complaints will get them to address their terrible IT issues.

My husband and I became members of PNC after they acquired our original bank, BBVA in October of 2021. Our experience with customer support at PNC has been incredibly poor. Customer Services representatives have given us inaccurate information or have not been properly informed on policy and practices of the company. The hotlines are consistently overwhelmed as they have not made the appropriate staffing adjustments to account for the additional customers from the acquisition. The website layout is far less intuitive than ou... read more

I will begin by stating that I was originally a Simple Bank customer which was acquired by BBVA, which in turn was acquired by PNC. I never chose to become a PNC customer. I had consistently had great experiences with Simple, but this review is not about them. The customer service steadily declined with each change in banking provider. Following my decision to take my business elsewhere, I attempted to close my account via phone which was my first disappointment with PNC. I made numerous calls on different days of the week, ... read more
