I paid off my car September 9th, and called asking for just a letter saying I paid off my loan so finalize the sale of a new car. They will not email it and insist on fax or snail mail, so I provided my fax number multiple times. Here we are, Sept 19th now, and every single time I call, someone says - oh we put in the request - and it never comes. I understand the letter is mailed out weeks later, but I expressed the urgency for the need of a simple letter saying I paid off my loan. I have literally called about 6 times now ... read more

Business response:

I drove to a bank branch to get the letter I was told was mailed out on the 14th - another lie. The branch confirmed it was mailed the 19th after multiple requests. The two gentlemen in the branch were very helpful and nice; but it doesnt erase all the inexperienced people in their load side of the call center. Those people need better training to understand the rules.

I have been banking with PNC for the last 40yrs. personal and business accounts. They were a great bank up until the last 5yrs. Lack of customer service, not enough personal in the branch offices. I applyed for a fix rate loan in 2021 and at closing papers were draw up for a variable rate. I was told after three days when the balance was paid my rate would be locked in. A year later I learn the rate was never locked in even with emails and loan officer from the branch verifying all intention were to lock in at the rate which... read more
