Bad Nursing Home – Do not send your loved ones here. They will die in short time. There were 2 articles in SJ Mercury News when patients died from neglectful care. The staffs did not seem to understand dementia patient care. They yell and scream, shove medication in their face, and expect them to respond. They yell at my mom even though she hears perfectly, no hearing problem. There are no activities to stimulate, just silly stupid stuff. I discovered many deficiencies in my mom's care. When I brought them up to management a... read more
The Best Place In My Book.. – My grandma was sent to this nursing home. Every time I visited her she was always so happy. She told me about how good the food was, and how everyone was nice to her. Even when my grandma left she still wanted to come back and get even stronger. With the program given to her she got a lot stronger and seemed happier. It is a wonderful place to send your loved ones that need long term care or just simply rehab.
Not a good place to leave your grand ma – There are MANY problems with this facility. #1 is the fact that the nursing staff is 100% Fillipino and the thickness of their accents makes communication difficult, even to a person with normal hearing. What happens when you're an elderly patient who is hearing impaired? Not only are you isolated from family, but your only way to express yourself is hampered by a barrier like language. The staff are not there for the patient. It's the money. Period. Nursing is suppose to be a humani... read more
Worst elderly care in California – This is the most horrible retirement facility that I have ever been to, if you have to send your nasty in-law somewhere, this is the place. The facilities are downright dirty, I saw dump expired food at the back alley giving off really virulent smell in summer. The staff are all Filipino that are recent immigrants themselves, and the owner was fined in 2007 for owing back employee tax. I saw once a resident in tears when the nurse scolded her in public, to the extent of almost slapping her.... read more
Don't Send Your Loved One There – The Social Workers and management are very unprofessional. They cover their butt rather than do what's good for the residents. My mother almost became an invalid there. They confined her to her wheelchair even though she can walk with a walker. She lost her leg muscles, so she falls going to the bathroom. This is a direct result of their confining her to the wheelchair. My mom's personal belongings keep getting stolen. Instead of investigating the problem, the Social Workers blame me for the... read more
Avoid this nursing home, very poor management. – CNAs are lazy, the RNs & the Director of Staff Development lie through their teeth at care conferences. Admin. staffs are related, i.e. sisters, husbands & wives, cousins, other relatives, it's a racket, it's one big Filipino family. They should not allow family members to work with each other, in the same facility. If there is a court case, tamily members will not testify against each other, they cover each other's butt. The owner, Mr. Easterday, is indicted in the Federal Co... read more
Poor Management - Pleasant View Convelescent Hospital – Poor communication among staffs. Nursing supvsr gets belligerent & very defensive when deficiencies or negligence are pointed out. Instead of correcting them, they get very defensive and lie to cover their butt. Family members & residents refrain from complaining for fear of retaliation. What kind of a life is that for residents? They feel powerless. I was harassed by an unprofessional nursing supvsr while visiting. Air conditionding does not work properly in the summer... read more
