A KC Institution – If you haven't been here, stop reading and get on the phone. A mandatory meal for out-of-town guests. Quiet, distinguished and packed to the gills with anyone and everyone with good taste. I love making the service run through the cart, watching huge stacks of delicious beef get waved in front of your nose is the best appetizer there is.

excellent steakhouse – Theres no place better on a Saturday night to sink your teeth into a 18oz KC Strip and listen to a authentic KC Jazz band down in the Plaza III's/City Lights jazz room. Great atmosphere, service, and music. If your in from out of town and need to go to one steakhouse this place is it. The upstars is a bit stodgy and lowkey, to business-like to suit me. Give me a steak, jazz, and a stiff martini and let the rest take care of itself

Owner got tired of lack of consistency of beef ordered, now raises his own. Exceptional atmosphere. Great Service. On the Plaza, Plaza II Steakhouse is in my mind the best in KC and that is saying alot. It is expensive. They have a deep wine cellar. Great for business dinners or with friends.

Great Service, Great Food...Great combo! – I recently visited Plaza on a business trip. The mere mention of this restraunt to my clients had them all chomping at the bit to be invited. The service was spectacular and the food was even more spectacular. It was a great setting and really made the client happy. For a business dinner in KC Plaza Iii is the only place to go! I would just call a few weeks ahead if you have a large group!

One of the best! – Some of the comments here are ludicrous!! I have eaten at many so-called great steakhouses and this is by far one of the best! I read some comments about marinating steak--why would you do that unless it is a tough steak (like flank)? The best part about the steak is that they age it and don't add any seasonings--the natural flavor of their steaks come through without the added flavors (a.k.a. marinades or sauces that use sugar or corn syrup) that can ruin a steak...this is one of the best and I have eaten... read more

consistently the best – I try to eat at the Plaza III at least every month or two. The service is always first rate and the aged beef melts in your mouth. Pricy--for a good reason!

Great!!! – THis place is awesome. You see your steak beforehand and it is cooked perfectly. Impeccable service as well. Not sure if I would call it kid friendly, but our 7 yo did enjoy going for her Mom's 40th bday.

Consistently Good! – It's hard to say who has the best steak in town but this place has always been good. It isn't cheap but has great atmosphere, service, & steaks!
