It's very good Mexican-American food. If you know Mexican-American food, I would put this in the Californian-style rather than Tex-Mex (which is its own thing) or the very Americanized "Chi-Chis"-style sides of the spectrum with piles of cheese and lettuce. It's generally a little more traditional and simple with less frills and silliness, which I appreciate. The tableside guac is totally worth it. You end up with too much food, and the desserts, while not cheap ($9+), are almost worth a trip by themselves.
A classic Mexican restaurant with great food, fun bar, and huge menu. Sit inside or outside. Gracias!
