Playground 2.0 is a fantastic culinary experience! I believe Chef Jason calls it "fun dining" (vs fine dining). I brought my daughter here for her 21st birthday and she absolutely loved the entire experience! We attended the "trust dinner" and enjoyed each dish and drink shared by the chefs. We had the brussel sprouts, pot stickers, pork belly in bao, fried chicken, noodles, maple ham, and the fig sticky toffee pudding. Every item was SOOOO f'n AMAZING!!!!
Playground Was GREAT. Brussels Sprouts Caesar To Die For, Kurobuta Pork Belly Steam Bun Melts In Your Mouth, Maple Glazed Pork Chop GIGANTIC -And- Delicious. It Went Great With My Saint Saturnin 2000 Medoc. And For Dessert, We Had The Black Mission Fig Sticky Toffee Pudding (Looks Like A Muffin)- UNBELIEVABLE. As we were taking a trip to Orange County, a friend recommended we visit Playground. We were not disappointed! As there was a large group of us, the chef Jason, organised for a variety of dishes to be served. Fried chicken, pork chop, the BEST steak I have ever tasted, and even the salad was amazing!! Great food, and perfect cocktails!!!! One of the best places I've been to in SoCal.
Top shelf everything. What an experience. The enthusiasm of the chefs, the quality of the food, the bottomless wines, beer and cocktails. The pace of courses coming out, wine pouring down and conversation was intoxicating in so many ways. Go, do, enjoy. Nobody leaves hungry or sober.
