On May 2nd, 2016 I experienced a true emergency. I had developed Necrotizing Fasciitis (flesh-eating bacteria). The ER staff worked very quickly and thoroughly! I was then told I’d be going to emergency surgery and the ICU (the ICU staff was phenomenal). I met Dr. Ryan Gerry, who performed my 3 surgeries. Dr. Gerry not only saved my badly wounded leg, but saved my life! Without the expertise of the staff at Platte Valley, I would have succumbed to my infection. Professional and caring staff that make sure you do not have a long wait.
Picked up my son from airport and I knew instantly he was very ill. We went to Urgent care and were directed to the ER. Not being familiar with the area, they sent us to the closest facility. My son received excellent and attentive care. The ER staff were all professional and compassionate.
It’s not everyday the nurse is the patient where she works but I had an amazing team. Thank you Karol Johnson, Josie Zuniga, Rae Bender Lundeen, Kimberly LaPlante, Jenn Rubino Davidson, Shoba Phillip, Karen Welz, Rebecca Linnebur, Heather Harrison and Sam Benson for being great when the nurse is not a great patient. Dr. Ryan Gerry and Dr. John Force are 2 amazing physicians in my line of work. I was so fortunate to be able to pick who cared for me 👍💖😁

I do not recommend Platte Valley. They have absolutely refused to work with me. They accepted a payment from me and failed to follow through on a payment arrangement I had set up with them, instead they sent me to collections. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they have refused to respond.
