Wish I could give negative starts.. Very disappointed with Whirlpool and the company they provided to come to my home for service which was Platinum Service. My Ice maker caught on fire in Nov. 2023 and whirlpool only covered my first service fee as a “courtesy”. A technician from Platinum service’s came out in January after waiting 2 months without a working fridge or ice maker. I then paid $300 for a service fee and new ice maker. They showed up, said they needed a part. waited two weeks for the part. Day of service, guy never came. They just rescheduled us a week later. When I called (1 months w/o a dishwasher that's 6 months old) they lady said there was no manager at the company. Then another voice came on and told me she was the only person who worked at the company and there was no one I could speak to to resolve my problem.... No part... no service and apparently no employees at the company????
It took 3 1/2 weeks to get a part, then when the tech came, he had no idea why he was there and didn't have the part in his truck. He said someone would call to reschedule. I called in the next day to see what was going on and they said they could schedule someone to come out in a week. IF they come, it will be 5 weeks of going to the laundromat. Can I enter a 0! Multiple cancellations on their part. No manager is ever available to speak to. Many day s of work missed for a Whirlpool refrigerator that was not working on the 2nd day of ownership. These people expect you to take off multiple days of work to fix a part and they do not show up.
I wish there were a zero stars option. Impossible to get on their schedule. Multiple last-minute cancellations on their part after taking off work to meet their tech. When dishwasher was finally serviced, it broke again within 48 hours. Waiting weeks again to get on their schedule. Total scam. Avoid this company!
I had a good response from getting an appointment to having someone out to replace a warming drawer on my new stove. Ed came out first to assess the problem then replaced it with a new part ,thank you! Timely and efficient.
I purchased a washer / dryer 18 months ago. I had registered both with Maytag. I reached out to Maytag with an issue concerning a small crack in the lid of my washer at the time . I was told I needed to use a factory authorized service provider and was given the name/ number of Platinum Factory Service. I reached out to schedule service online. If there was any other factory service outfit that Whirlpool/AIG would refer me to I would use them without hesitation. This outfit is not customer centric.. They work on their own time without regard to customers needs or desires, They take weeks to schedule visits and then can NEVER repair the appliance on the FIRST visit. On August 4th, Platinum Factory Service sent a tech out to service our Kitchen Aid electric range that was still under extended warranty with Lowes. The "burner on" light had quit working, and it was important to me since I have very bad balance and an iffy memory because of my advanced MS. The tech was very nice, found two parts that needed to be ordered, and left without leaving any paperwork.
