I am the grandmother of a child who was born at this facility. My daughter was 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant at the time. According to ACOG guidelines, pregnancies beyond 41 weeks are considered higher risk. In hindsight, I feel that delivering at this facility rather than at a hospital may not have been the best choice for my daughter and grandson. He was born with an anoxic brain injury, and this has deeply affected our family. Medical professionals in our family, who have extensive experience in hospital obstetrical care, ... read more

Leaving this review for my godchild Robbie and best friend because it keeps getting deleted which I do not understand. Let the people know the full truth. Let them see all of the possible consequences of going this route. Google has filtered out my review… so here I am posting it in the hopes it will be seen… A Hard Truth About Birth Centers… I’ve waited over a year to share this review, knowing that it would be done in sound mind and sound heart. Plano Birthplace has some of the kindest and most caring midwives. They truly care for you and your family. They are very passionate about what they do and will encourage you to be strong and not give up even in your weakest moments. By the time you are finished birthing with them, you will feel like the PB team is your family. Their rooms are also very nice (and even nicely color-coordinated!) and really make you feel comfortable and at home! They have a comfy bed, a huge bathtub, and a shower to meet whatever birthing need... read more

I did a hospital birth with midwives for my first and PBP for my second. Hands down PBP was a better experience. I felt very cared for and respected in my choices; it even felt safer somehow. I was able to fully trust them and not worry about being pushed interventions or unnecessary “preventative” care. It was a beautiful experience

Plano Birthplace made me feel welcomed the moment I made an appointment to tour (without even being pregnant yet). Coming from someone with previous medical background it was comforting to know the midwives were also certified nurses! Every appointment felt intentional. The ease of texting the midwifery team so valuable as a busy mom of two already. I appreciated all of the educational material they provided. I was able to have a home birth with the guidance of PBP. My third child was born weighing over 11 pounds with zero t... read more
