I’ve waited over a year to share this review, knowing that it would be done in sound mind and sound heart. Our son, Robbie, was born here at 41 weeks and 2 days, 5/5/24, after a completely healthy and normal pregnancy. My labor lasted about five hours. The documentation we received does not align with what is clearly visible on our birth video (recording only began after my water broke, about an hour prior to his birth). Multiple health professionals who have viewed the video agree that Robbie was in distress. PBP records sa... read more

I am the grandmother of a child who was born at this facility. My daughter was 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant at the time. According to ACOG guidelines, pregnancies beyond 41 weeks are considered higher risk. In hindsight, I feel that delivering at this facility rather than at a hospital may not have been the best choice for my daughter and grandson. Leaving this review for my godchild Robbie and best friend because it keeps getting deleted which I do not understand. Let the people know the full truth. Let them see all of the possible consequences of going this route. Plano Birthplace has some of the kindest and most caring midwives. They truly care for you and your family. They are very passionate about what they do and will encourage you to be strong and not give up even in your weakest moments. By the time you are finished birthing with them, you will feel like the PB team is your family. Their rooms are also very nice (and even nicely color-coordinated!) and really make you feel comfortable and at home! They have a comfy bed, a huge bathtub, and a shower to meet whatever birthing need... read more
