Not Impressed – These people either need to stop accepting new clients, or get more equipment. Appointments are never available and when I do get an appointment I almost always have to wait 10 to 20 minutes past my appointment time because the appointments are always running "late". They over selll and underdeliver.
TERRIBLE - NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! – I totally agree with some of the reviews that I just read. I had a very bad experience with this location and I will NOT recommend anyone to step into this spa. I went there through the Living Social Deal and was surprised to be first of all forced into buying the $25 cream, which I still do not know why it was required. Completely Unprofessional – I have been to many tanning salons before, but my experience at planet beach was NOT what i expected. The other locations have much more professional staff. The manager is completely unprofessional. Not only does she not look professional, but she IS unprofessional. Cursing in front of me and many other customers, and very rude to me. Awesome! – Planet beach is an awesome spa! I very much enjoy their UV tanning. It focuses on the health of your skin vs the different levels of beds they can charge you for. I like that all the tanning is the same price & I will continue to be a frequent guest.
Great place! The girl who showed me around didn't REALLY know what she was talking about...as far as skin goes. I doubt many people would notice that or care though. She was very polite, confident, and the place has a good atmosphere.
Buyer Beware – DO NOT sign any contract with these people...they are a rip off. Pay as you go! Recieved two tans over one year and cost was over $500.00 and they threatened to have it reported on my credit. I pay for what I get and this was a wakeup call for me with this company.
Horrible horrible place - they bait and switch on the groupons deal by demanding you purchase products that are not even necessary - they charge a tanning tax though you are not utilizing tanning equipment and they do not tell you about it - they do not honor their cancellation policy and steal back the signed contract thinking you have no other recourse - some staff is inept and careless with equipment and temperature environment - many complaints in many social networks...already second ownership as the underhanded practic... read more
PLANET BEACH IS FROM HELL – I too bought a living social deal and am very unhappy with it. First of all it was overly booked so after the meaningless consultation, i was told to sit and wait for my first session and enjoy the new oxygen machine (that i still can't figure out what its suppose to do) for 20 minutes (the machine was done in 10). finally i was taken into the hydro-derma room and the girl said after each session she would lightly knock on the door and come get me to take me to my next session but right now she wa... read more
Would not recommend this location or spa – I bought a deal from Living Social for a treatment package at Planet Beach Contempo Spa. The $39 deal included 3 massages, 3 luminous facials, and 3 hydro-derma fusion treatments. It seemed too good to be true…. and it was. The staff who helped me at the Houston Westheimer location on 2/1/2012 at 6PM were unprofessional and inexperienced.
