Great Tasting Piro's has amazing tasting cookies and pastries. Located about 2 miles off 495, easy to get to. Quality service with reasonable prices. Great Italian cookies. A must go to for holiday pastry platters!
Very Disappointed in service My family has been going to this bakery for about 25 years so when it was time for a wedding cake we called them. Well that proved to be a big mistake. I had a 2pm appointment. My babysitter changed so we had to drive the kids to my mothers in Wilmington last minute. I called them at 1:30 to tell them I might be 5 minutes late and they said that was fine. I arrived at 2:03 only 3 minutes late after I already called to see if that would be ok. SO GOOD Piro's Bakery has never let me down. My mom started going there when I was a teenager and my entire family is hooked on it. Now that I am married I take my own kids there - you can cater an entire party with their selection of cakes, cookies, pastry, bread, and pizza, meat pie and calzones. Their calzones are excellent - my husband easily eats one chicken parm calzone each week. When I go in I buy 2 or 3 to and I keep one in the fridge and freeze the rest. The best of the best This has been our family bakery for over 30 years and we have never had a bad loaf of bread. Their cakes and pastries are delicious and their bread is ALWAYS fresh. If I know the loaf is fresh out of the oven I will get a spare loaf for my ride home. It is simply delicious.
Piro's pizza This is our second choice for (square shape pizza). You can order hot or take home frozen packages to heat at your leisure. Prices are reasonable for the quality you receive. We love their bakery items as well. They have such yummy brownies, cookies, and more. A must try for the square shape pizza lover.
