Since 1753, The Pirate's House has been welcoming visitors to Savannah with a bounty of delicious food and drink and rousing good times. Situated a scant block from the Savannah River, The Pirate's House first opened as an inn for seafarers, and fast became a rendezvous for blood-thirsty pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas. Here seamen drank their grog and discoursed, sailor fashion, on their exotic high seas adventures from Singapore to Bombay and from London to Port Said.

Food was great and so was our server. He was polite quick and very attentive. Buffet was A+++
Amazing atmosphere, excellent food, and spectacular service. Eric was amazing!!!
The pictures on Yelp doesn’t do this place justice. The food was outstanding and the tour of the place was fun! Will recommend. Thank you for the experience.
We were pleasantly surprised with this place! We went at 6:30 without a reservation and were able to sit at a booth in the bar area right away. Our food was fantastic, the drinks were delicious, and the ambiance was fun. My husband and I shared the Pirates Pleasure and Release the Kracken. Sweet, but yummy! The steak was perfectly done, the calamari was a favorite for my 13yo, and my husband loved his seafood platter!
Eric was our waiter, and he was fantastic. Talking to him was a nice break from having to hear the ghost tour for the fourth time bc we were seating right next to the rum cellar. Get the pecan chicken too!
Eh. I was here many years ago and remember it being very cool with great food. Went last night & it was insanely expensive, neither my ribeye nor my husband’s seafood platter was very good. The tour was weird. Overall disappointed. BUT.... I would go again, have a drink & take a friend or my kids on the tour. But there’s better food elsewhere. See the place, take the tour, eat somewhere else.

Seems to be the local lunch crowd more than tourists. 4 stars is because ordering off the menu turned out a surprise. The meals were great! The shrimp and sausage grits were probably the best I have ever had (and I have sampled this dish nationwide). Could have been 4.5 but the bread threw me off. Most of the party liked it but it was a he... read more
