As a long time ping pong player, I think the combination of alcohol and people milling around is going to cause fights. The ping pong tables need to be in a separate area from the drinking / eating area. when my family and I play, we are all over the place, we don't just stand in one spot-- you have to run from side-to-side to get those balls if you know anything about what you're doing. so add a drunk guy walking past and you slam into him and you've got a fight. personally I just feel like I would be too constrained at a p... read more

Fun place for a family game of ping ping! There was a large party so our food took quite awhile to get to us, but wasn’t too big of a deal as we had drinks and played ping pong.

Business response:

Thanks for sharing your review and for making Pips & Bounce the ping pong place that Portland deserves!

I haven’t played ping pong since my last early youth long ago, but sometimes you need a date idea and trying to pretend you are semi athletic, cool and fun- so you end up here in heels and tipsy from a bar. We had a ton of fun, staff was attentive without being up your ass and atmosphere was less bro town and less competitive than I expected. Would go back, maybe over time I will less less terrible! 🏆

Business response:

Thanks for sharing your review, Alicia. It’s great folks like you that bring Pips & Bounce to life!
