I had not been there since I was a teenager but had some friends traveling with me from Springfield to see mom and wanted them to see one of my favorite childhood places. The food was just as good as I remember but the experience was not good. We got seated over an hour from our reservation, they ran out of silverware, waited over 30 minutes to get drinks and so forth. Been waiting over two hours for a table. Watched several parties that arrived after us come and go. We come here every year for Mother's Day and Father's Day. Drive an hour just to eat here. Most likely the last time we come here. Even the couple sitting waiting next to us had reservations and were an hour past the time they reserved.
We use to love this place for Mother's Day and Father's Day but it's just not as friendly of an atmosphere and pretty pathetic when you wait two hours for a table and a party of 15 leaves and your still left with out a table and others set before you who just arrived.
Great place to eat. We haven't tried it since the new owners took over. Hopefully will make it soon.
First of all the food is AMAZING!! Second of all they are SOOOOooO Nice ! They even helped my handicapped uncle! They are just super nice people!! Plus the inside where u eat at is so gorgeous! I wish I could live there! They also have a soap room where u can buy all kinds of gorgeous pretty and good seeing soap! And some jelly also I definitely give the place a 5 star rating!! I like my salad first instead of dumplings and bread. Loved the salad. Bread was cold. Chicken was good and moist. Food was ok. Pies was way too sweet. Overall i give it a 3 1/2.
Good service, food was great, tucked in the woods with a neat atmosphere. Would definitely go back
