RecommendedThere will never be another Pioneer's Cabin!!! I was blessed; not only to be a customer: but an employee July 2000 - January 2007. And a friend of the Valerius family July 2000 - present. Thru the years I have brought many friends there. None of them were disappointed. I can't say enough good things about "The Cabin". But no one can go on forever. I'm happy that the owners (who were so good to me, all the other employees, and all the customers) got to retire October 25, 2016 @ age 66 & 67.

I heard the restaurant was closed or closing and might be for sale....please say it isn't so.....anybody know?
The Pioneer's Cabin was it. It was the best place in the whole world. I loved coming here with my family every year for Thanksgiving. Most amazing pies and such friendly service! You felt like you stepped back into a time that doesn't exist anymore. A time before idiots online, morons on phones and political arguments 24-7. The food made you fat and THAT was just fine! At Christmas, you felt that old time feeling of love and warmth.It was always worth the trip....I'd drive sometimes 5 hours just to come visit the place. SO s... read more

Excellent friendly staff clean place awesome food the house salad dressing is the bomb
