About this business

At Pioneer Tree Farm we raise our trees organically, and use no pesticides as we contend with weeds and other tree pests. (Occasionally we do treat some invasive hardwood species with an herbicide). Our motivation is love of nature trees, wildlife, weather, the land and what we sell is an experience along with your Christmas tree. This year we will be open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday after Thanksgiving day, and Saturdays and Sundays until Christmas. Everything else is much like old times (see more details below). The employees I spoke with were both very friendly and the facilities looked cute from the outside. The tractors weren't running when we arrived, so we grabbed our saw and headed out looking for our tree on foot. We asked the man who told us they weren't running the tractors where we could find a 6-7ft tree, and he pointed out a few field he thought we might find a 6 footer. After wandering through several different fields we realized why he said "might." Very few trees approached that height, and the trees were almost all b... read more

No trees! Activities at this cute family farm were sweet. All the staff were very nice too. But very little to pick from in trees. Not sure how old of a picture that aerial shot is, but the trees were picked over. No new trees planted either for future. So we won't go back. Looks like family is winding down the tree farm. Sad

Our first time at pioneer farm and it was a great family experience! My daughter loved the tractor ride, waking through the trees and the complimentary candle making really made her day. The only thing we would of liked was better trees. The tree we got was nice but small and not full. Not a good range of trees to choose from. Other than that all the people that worked there were wonderful.great experience!

Waste of time, any tree over 4.5 feet tall was dead on the bottom half. The people were all very nice but the tree selection was awful. We won't be back.

Today was the first time we chopped our own tree, what a great experience. The people are do friendly and helpful. They have a warming house with free hot coco or coffe, a candle making area and you can feed the chickens. Dogs on leashes are also welcome. I like the idea of one price of $50.00 for any size tree!! We love our tree, added bonus it has cute little pine cones on it. We will be back next year.
