At Pioneer Tree Farm we raise our trees organically, and use no pesticides as we contend with weeds and other tree pests. (Occasionally we do treat some invasive hardwood species with an herbicide). Our motivation is love of nature trees, wildlife, weather, the land and what we sell is an experience along with your Christmas tree. This year we will be open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday after Thanksgiving day, and Saturdays and Sundays until Christmas. Everything else is much like old times (see more details below). RecommendedOur family has had a tradition of cutting down a tree for the last 20 years. Now that the kids are grown and moved out on their own, it is still something we come together to do. We went to Pioneer Tree Farm for the 1st time this year and all I can say is Wow, it has been our loss for not finding it sooner. What a great family experience! What hospitality by the owners! Wonderful! Acres of trees, all sizes and varieties! And the warming house is lively. The candle making and old times games are great! Go every year, never disappointed. The people there are super nice!

Wonderful place to cut down your own Christmas tree in a beautiful non-commercial setting. There is candle dipping and candle holder making for the kids, done the old fashion way like pioneers. The warming house is a beautiful old barn with hot chocolate cookies and hand made crafts to buy. There are chickens you can feed. The farm is maintained without pesticides and fertilizer. Cutting our own tree for Christmas has been our family tradition for almost 10 years now, this tree farm is so beautiful and quiet. It’s not one of those over priced tree kind of places. This place is old timey and perfect and the price is hard to beat for an amazing experience. Thank you to the wonderful staff there. 😊😊
Quaint family owned place with a charming atmosphere, super friendly and helpful people and many old time "pioneer-like" activities. The dutch oven corn bread baked in a fire pit stole the show last year. Hope it will be back! A good variety of trees; tractor ride and a bon fire with hot chocolate tops the wholesome experience! Our family absolutely loves it all and we come back every year!
